Club notes – 3rd April 2023

Charraig Mhór GFC wishes to extend our condolences to the families of Annie McCallan, Kathleen Quinn, Patrick O’Kane, Ita Cavanagh and Conrad McCann.

Our U14 girls had a convincing win away to Dromore while the U16 boys had a 5.9 to 4.9 win against the same opposition. The U20s beat Cookstown beat Cookstown 2.7 to 2.5 in Cookstown. Both our U16 boys team had strong win over Trillick and Cappagh at Páirc Colmcille on Sunday.

On Tuesday 4th April our minor girls host Errigal Ciaran at 6.30 and on Saturday the 8th Donaghmore host the U16 boys development team. Wednesday 12th April the U20s are at home to Dungannon while the U16 Grade 1 team travel to Ardboe, both games have a 6.30pm throw in. Please keep an eye on social media for any changes to fixtures.

Club membership is now overdue, and you can register by logging into www.foireann.ie.
Monday night was the final session of the Couch to 5K. Comhghairdeas to all who took part.

Rang Gaeilge continues every Tuesday at 7.30pm in the clubrooms. Classes are for beginners and improvers. New members are very welcome.

Céili Dancing is on Wednesday evenings at 8pm with Dominic Molloy in the clubrooms.

Ulster SFC Tyrone V Monaghan tickets – Ulster GAA have advised that tickets for the terrace went on general sale to the public on Monday 3rd April at 11am. These will be available to purchase online ulster.gaa.ie/tickets or in participating SuperValu and Centra stores.

The club is organising a Páirc go Páirc (Páirc Cholmcille to Fr. McGilligan Park ) Litter Pick from 11am to 1pm on Easter Tuesday coming, 11 April.

Club members / Volunteers are very welcome and should show up at Páirc Cholmcille at 10.45am. Children should be accompanied by an adult in the interests of safety. Litter picks and bags will be provided. We will also undertake to cover a small number of roads nearby.

All those interested in applying for a £50 Gaeltacht Scholarship through Tyrone LGFA please email Secretary.tyrone@lgfa.ie. There are 10 available and the closing date is 7th April.
