Our Ladies Minor team travel to Breffni Park, Cavan, this Wednesday, 21st December, to meet the Lurgan ladies in the Ulster Ladies Minor Club Championship final. Throw-In is at 7:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased at myticketapp.co.uk. All support for our ladies is appreciated. Ádh mór to the players and management. If heading to Cavan please leave in good time and be safe.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh to everyone who supported and/or helped run the coffee morning in St Columbkilles Primary School. This event supported the U17 Eire Og hurling team and our Ladies’ Minor team, competing in Ulster club competitions and representing our clubs and community.

Comhghairdeas to Jackie Ward on winning the Christmas Spirit of Carmen £2500 draw.

A few club hub merchandise orders to be collected. Thursday at club 1pm-2pm is the last pre Xmas chance. The Club Shop will not reopen until the New Year.

Our youth presentation for U13 boys, U15 boys, u16 girls and minor girls will now take place on 12th January.

The AGM will take place on Sunday, 15th January. Nomination forms are available on our club website (https://tinyurl.com/NominateCarmen2022)

On Tuesday past, joint Gaeltacht bursaries were awarded from the Gaelic League, the hurling club (Eíre Óg) and our club (An Charraig Mhór Naomh Colmcille CLG). The bursaries were awarded by Lawrence Kelly and Bríd Uí Dhonnghaile, Culture and Language officers, on behalf of An Charraig Mhór and Eíre Og, respectively. Cormac Mac Giolla Uidhir represented the Carrickmore and Creggan Gaelic league. Comhghairdeas to the recipients: Aoibhe Kerr, Connie Coyle, Blaithin Murray, Oisin Conlon, Eoin Conlon, Aoibhean Haughey and Ellie Gormley.

Céili dancing class is now finished for Christmas. Go raibh míle maith agaibh to Dominic Molloy for taking the classes and to everyone who participated. Classes will reconvene in the new year.

Rang Gaeilge (Irish Class) classes for beginners and improvers have also finished for Christmas. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Circuits and the Walking Group are now finished for Christmas. Go raibh maith agat to Niall Devine, the Well-being officer for FODC for making this happen.

In the new year, a free twelve-week, one-day-a-week Couch25K programme will begin on Monday, 23rd January, at 7 pm. Keep an eye on social media for details on how to signup.
