Mary McGurk presents the Mickey McGurk cup to the captain of the U7.5 Carmen team

The club wishes to give our sympathies to the families of Tommy McCullagh, James Sweeney, Jim Quinn, Mary Rafferty, Mary McGurk, Mary Jurkieweiz (née Donaghy), Maureen McGarvey, Geraldine Donnelly, Eileen McCann, Mary Little, Patrick O’Neill, Sarah Carmel O’Connor & John McAnespie.    

This Saturday at 3:45 pm in Pomeroy, our senior men meet our parish neighbours, Loughmacrory, in the championship quarterfinal. Ádh mór to the team and management.   

Also, on Saturday, in the U15 Grade 1 boys’ championship, our boys’ team are away to Cookstown at 11 am.   

Comhghairdeas to our senior ladies’ team on their league semi-final victory over Kileeshil on a 5-6 to 1-10 scoreline.   To cap a busy Saturday for our club, our ladies meet St Macartans, under lights, in the league final, at Fintona at 7.30 pm. Ádh mór to the team and management. 

On Sunday the 9th, our U16 ladies travel to Kildress for a league match with an 11 am throw-in. All support for all our teams is welcome. Ádh mór to all the players and management.    

  We’re hosting the Johnny Begley tournament this Saturday morning and welcome all the clubs attending.  Go raibh maith agaibh to all the teams who took part in our Mickey McGurk tournament last Saturday and comhghairdeas to Errigal Ciaran on winning the shield and to our own u7.5 panel on winning the cup.  Go raibh maith agat to Mary McGurk for presenting the winners and we thank all the parents, referees and helpers on the day.  On Sunday morning we host an u8 and u10 ladies’ blitz. On Sunday afternoon we host Errigal Ciaran vs Dungannon at 3.45 pm, all usual stewards and help required please  

 Thanks to Annette Kelly for representing the club in Ulster semi-final of Scor Sinsear.  Good luck to all Tyrone winners in the Ulster Final. 

The Club Shop will continue to open on Thursday from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm for current stock items.    

  The Youth Presentation has been pencilled in for Monday, 7th November 2022.   

  Céili dancing class continues every Wednesday, at 8.30 pm in the clubrooms with Dominic Molloy.    

 Rang Gaeilge (Irish Class) Autumn classes for beginners and improvers commence at the club rooms this Tuesday, 11th October, at 8 pm. To get involved, contact Cormac at 07769910958. All new starts are very welcome.  

This Thursday, at 11 am, the club one-hour walking club continues. Everyone is very welcome. The Couch25K wraps up with the final session on Friday 14th October at 6:30 pm. There will be tea afterwards in the club rooms to congratulate everyone involved.  

Comhghairdeas to the winner of our October Spirit of Carmen £500 draw Janine McElduff.
