Big changes at Pairc Colmcille this week as we can see the huge steel frame of our Multi Sport Arena rising into the skyline.
It is testament to the commitment of all of our Spirit of Carmen contributors that we have reached this stage and that we are one step closer to completing this ambitious project. The combined effort of many can achieve great things.
It is true to this spirit that we see on site six times Senior Championship winner and present committee member Plunkett Mc Callan. Despite personal tragegy just a week back with the disappearance and death of his nephew Matthew Mc Callan, Oz has stuck to the task of getting the steel fabricated and erected. We are not surprised at his level of dedication but it is yet another example from within our own club of the spirit required to achieve both on and in this case off the field.
Also central to the progress this week working in sub zero conditions with even colder steel were Tony Mullin and his crew.
